I will once again be participating in the Thousand Islands Fine Art Association Annual Show and Sale. It will be held over the following weekends in September - 13, 14, 15; 21, 22; 28 and 29. At the Thousand Islands National Park, Mallorytown Landing Visitors' Centre on the Thousand Islands Parkway between Gananoque and Brockville. Twenty-three local artists present works in watercolour, oil, acrylic, pastel, collage, printmaking, and mixed media, Enter to win a door prize worth $100! The show is open 10 AM to 5 PM Saturdays and Sundays, with an opening reception on Friday, September 13 from 5 PM to 8 PM.
Living in the heart of a forest, the prospects for inspiration abound. Inspired by the world around me - colour, light and texture take shape. I aspire to share my interpretation of the world, at times abstract and sometimes realistic, using paint on canvas creating textures, the images evolve and transform.
