Encaustic Works

One of my latest passions is working in Encaustic - a medium that is made by combining beeswax, damar resin and a colourant.  These ingredients are then heated, melted and mixed together to form the paint and is applied hot, in liquid form, to the chosen surface where it rapidly cools and sets.

These Encaustic works are only a sampling of the many pieces that I have created for the upcoming Art in the City Brockville Tour 2013 show which will be held on the June 22 - 23, 2013 - 10am to 5pm daily.
